Creatives

I grew up in a community of artists and spent my childhood and early career in the arts myself.  In fact, when I first went to graduate school, I determined my focus would be on the unpredictability of having success at one moment, only to so often be followed by not knowing what's next.  It is a life unlike most, often with very little stability, and consequently the onus of remaining grounded lies on the internal life of the person.  I work collaboratively to develop the tools to maintain the inner esteem necessary to weather the challenges and joys of this lifestyle.

Psychotherapy is inherently creative.  It involves a respect for the unknown and a faith in the process as it unfolds.  Through collaboration and exploration, playfulness and humor, and most of all the sanctity of the therapeutic relationship, my work as a psychotherapist is as creatively fulfilling as any I have experienced.
